Kang-aroo kernel 1.0:

"Kang"ed from proven sources

*Tested with smoothrom 5.3, android 4.3.1, should work with 4.4, will be updated for 4.4.
*multirom kexec code.....credits to tassadeur.
*CPU OC to 1.6, GPU OC to 484, set during install or with trickstermod
*OTG+fastcharge simultaneously, requires otg y cable for power
*USB DAC support, with hotplug (please read below)
*Usb wifi support: ath9k,rt3070,rt73,rtl8188, others
*over 200 remote controls
*easycap dc60, also included is the em288 module which supports the newest genuine easycap device, but this is a work in progress
*usb webcam as a rear system camera
*media playback after deep sleep, even with externally mounted drives

OK.... Im posting this as a request from a few people. This kernel is a kang of Bricked kernel, with the latest drivers from timur's usbrom kernel.
This includes the usb dac hotplug driver, the simultaneous otg+fastcharge driver, and his rtc alarm driver with firm sleep. There have been a few people wanting to use these functions on newer/ different roms, so i just merged the relevant bits into the bricked kernel source because it has been my daily driver.

The main function of this kernel is the ability to run many pieces of external hardware while powering them with an otg- y cable and charging the tablet at the same time. However, it does not have to have external power for otg.... all of this can be controlled from a basic script (01usbcontrols) which will be found in /system/etc/init.d

Also, if you use this mod here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2029728

along with this kernel, you can have hotplug DAC abilities.

For my own uses, i have also included usb wifi drivers for many chipsets, including the rt73, rt3070, ath9k, rtl8188, and others, as well as all the other modules which were previously included in timurs cm rom, including many many rtl2832 devices, easycap video capture devices, etc.

For now, I am posting this after seeing it requested by a few people, and if you have used usbrom before, then you will know easily what this is. I will answer questions, but Im not sure if i can really go into all of the details in the OP. Please note that I am calling this kernel "KANG"- aroo, as to imply that it is stable, because it is kangs of others hard work. I have no donate button, and in no way claim to be the author of this code, that credit that belongs to the people who did the work... and for now that is timur the author of usbrom, and showp1984, the dev of bricked kernel.
I did however, merge it all, push it to github for GPL compliance, and build it from source, so this is not a hackfest, but a stable source built daily driveable kernel.

source can be found here:

https://github.com/lostdeveloper/bricked-grouper-3.x

The kernel can be built with the kangaroo_defconfig

There are two zips available for download, one with just the wifi and cifs modules, 9mb and the other with over 309 modules at roughly 47mb, a little over 100mb installed. You dont need this for usb DACs, but you will for any of the others (dvb, wifi, easycap,,etc)

No modules 9mb:

kernel with all 309 modules:

I will try to make a clean OP, with all the needed things in the right place, but I hope this will do for now. I will also try to answer any questions anyone has about what this kernel is and what exactly it does.Thanks.
